Asbestos Removal

What is asbestos?

Asbestos is a natural mineral composed of microscopic tiny fibres or needles invisible for the naked eye.
Because of it's characteristics (strong, tensile strenght, isolating, fireproof, cheap…) it was very popular in building materials, but, at that time, one was not aware of the nasty consequences.
When inhalating asbestos fibers they get stucked in the lower respiratory tract and alveolus causing a small amount of cicatrix. So they are very damaging for our health.
In our regions, asbesots was used frequently in building constructions until the early ’90s. It was forbidden in Belgium as of 1998.
Asbestos fibers can be released by sawing, polishing, cutting, grating, drilling or squirting under high pressure of asbesots materials.
